Selkirk & Swan Pond Club Rules.

Swan Pond Pike fishing rules.

1. BARBLESS Hooks Only. Maximum size 12. Manufactured Barbless hooks only, NO crushed, whisker, filed or nipped barbs.

2. Keepnets only to be used during organised club matches. These must be a closed carp mesh type, with a minimum length of 2.5metres (8ft).

3. All fish caught must be returned to the water alive and well.

4. Club members only, NO day tickets.

5. No pleasure fishing on match days, until match and weigh in has been completed.

6. Only one rod in the water at a time.

7. Sensible use of groundbait permitted.

8. Unused bait is not to be thrown in the water on completion of your session.

9. NO night fishing Dawn till Dusk only.

10. NO excessive loud or abusive language.

11. NO Fires

12. Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

13. Battery operated bite alarms permitted for Pike fishing only.

14. NO litter Including hooks and lines. Leave litter leave the club.

15. The committee reserve the right to carry out spot checks on club members tackle to ensure they are observing the club rules. Those who persist in breaking the club rules will be asked to leave and barred from the club.

ANYONE ATTEMPTING TO REMOVE FISH FROM THIS WATER WILL BE PROCECUTED.

Pike fishing rules.

1. Season closed from 1st March to 1st May.

2. Semi barbed hooks only.

3. Bite alarms and hangers to be used for bite indication.

4. Maximum 2 rods permitted.

5. Landing net and unhooking mat to be used.

6. No fires and no camping.

7. Take all litter away with you.

8. No rods to be left unattended.

9. No fixed rigs (free running rigs only).

10. Minimum wire trace b/strain 20lbs min legnth 12 inches.

11. Max size 8 trebles.

12. Pike to be handled and returned with care.
